Jakes Srinivasan
Jakes Srinivasan founded INDICRON in 2004 with a straightforward proposition: that the most valuable thing a senior executive can offer a company is not a title, but the judgment that comes from having built, broken and fixed real businesses across multiple industries.
That judgment has been built across three decades and a deliberately varied career — beginning in engineering at IIT Delhi, grounded analytically by an MBA from The Wharton School, sharpened through a decade in the upper tiers of strategic and brand consulting at Marakon Associates and Interbrand, and tested across multiple operating roles spanning turnarounds, startups, private equity-backed growth and AI-driven transformation.
Today, INDICRON's primary focus is at the intersection of AI, data and business transformation — an area where the combination of deep strategic training, hands-on operating experience and modern AI practitioner skills is genuinely rare.

At Marakon Associates, one of the world's leading corporate strategy firms, Jakes led engagements for Fortune 100 clients — including a restructuring that improved economic profitability for a $2 billion US beverages conglomerate by $250 million. At Interbrand, he ran the Brand Valuation practice for the Americas, advising CFOs and executives at companies including HP, BP and UPS, and guest-lectured in the MBA Marketing curriculum at Columbia Business School.
At Weight Watchers International, he built the Strategic Planning function from scratch — developing a county- and ZIP-level business intelligence model spanning every one of the 3,000+ US counties, which fundamentally reoriented the company's approach to targeting, advertising, location selection and franchise M&A.
At Authentidate Holding Corp., as VP of Corporate Development, he led a company-wide turnaround — pivoting to a 100% SaaS healthcare model, achieving a 3-year revenue CAGR of 59%, closing the largest recurring-revenue contract in the company's history, and securing a landmark CMS approval of digital signatures on healthcare documentation. He co-founded zREP, an internet-era SaaS startup that pioneered a patented algorithm for skills-fit matching.
Notable INDICRON engagements include: the turnaround of a distressed electronics e-commerce company; the product development and commercial launch of a mobile healthcare application for a leading cardiac-care practice; the design and development of a production AI assistant for Bajaao.com; and the development of Life Sciences AI and Real World Data partnerships at Mass General Brigham.
In parallel, Jakes served for nearly a decade as Investor and Operator at Bajaao.com — restructuring and leading the digital marketing function (achieving a 20% improvement in sales within 90 days, 15% ad spend reduction, 10:1 ROAS) and turning around the Entertainment Division to profitability.
Beyond the Work
Outside of the firm, Jakes is an active performing musician — a percussionist and drummer who has shared the stage with some of our foremost artists and performed across Austin's vibrant live music scene. He founded Wobeon Music (Austin Fusion Music LLC) in 2011 and created the Austin World Music Festival, which ran for several years and presented over 70 international artists — including Angelique Kidjo, Billy Cobham, Vieux Farka Touré, Scott Henderson and Fatoumata Diawara — to Austin audiences. He holds active interests in equity and real estate investing. Jakes holds US citizenship and is based in Austin, Texas.
